About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Urbanist-Planner to join our engaged team of urban development professionals. This role suits a dynamic and passionate individual looking to take the next step in their professional career.
Our ideal candidate has planning experience working within the private or public sector, with an outcomes-oriented attitude, excellent client liaison skills, and a passion for working in a high-performing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate across a wide range of projects and services within diversified portfolios, including multidisciplinary project teams.
- Lead deliverables such as development approvals, planning scheme amendments, strategies and studies, and provision of strategic advice.
- Prepare fee proposals and tender submissions, assess and report on technical documentation, manage sub-consultants, and deliver projects.
- Develop project management, delegation, and supervision skills through managing junior staff members.
- Share knowledge and collaborate with others to develop a broader skillset.
- Build stakeholder relationships and networks to achieve positive results for clients.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Urbanist-Planner with:
- A Tertiary qualification in Planning or related degree/discipline.
- 2-5 years of urban planning experience within a professional services firm or state/local government.
- Organisational and time management skills, with a flexible and positive attitude to working on different projects concurrently.
- An in-depth knowledge of the NSW planning framework, experience preparing considered strategic frameworks.
- Well-versed communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and other project team members.
- Excellent writing skills, drafting efficiently and accurately.
- A professional commitment to striving for excellence.
