Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has bed base of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

**What you'll be doing**

Reception of patients for outpatient clinics, endoscopy procedures and all daily tasks in various capacities and operational duties related to Gastroenterology Outpatient Clinic Services. This position provides administrative support to Staff Specialists, Registrars and VMO’s for the Endoscopy Unit as needed.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Demonstrated experience in high volume customer facing environments such as medical reception, front of house reception or other customer service environment with highly developed telephone/customer service skills.
- Demonstrated effective organisational, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills working within a team environment as well as autonomously.
- Relevant certification in Medical Terminology or willingness to work towards one.
- Ensure and maintain integrity of all data compiled / entered with a high attention to detail in all tasks relating to this position.
- Demonstrated ability in maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
