The role of the **_Administrative Support Officer_** works within the Mission and Mission in Action and values of HammondCare, to provide efficient administration support to the Residential team. The Administrative Support Officer is required to provide a high level of service, including rostering, managing ordering and invoicing, updating the Management systems, to ensure the facility functions smoothly.

This is an important “front office” role that requires commitment, initiative, and confidence in dealing with internal and external stakeholders. The workplace culture is flexible and friendly, with an emphasis on reciprocal support between management and staff.

**The essence of this role**:

- Good communication skills to greet resident’s, representatives, visitors, suppliers, contractors and others in a timely and professional manner.
- Display commitment, initiative, and confidence when liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare proactive staff rosters including annual leave coverage and unplanned leave coverage on a day-to-day basis.
- Timely and accurate entry of information onto the relevant systems including staff leave, timesheets, roster updates, education and other workplace attendance.
- Ensure office is supplied with current forms/documentation and related stationery.
- Advocate for staff by following up staff pay issues and communicating progress and outcomes to the staff member.
- Provide a high level of service to enable the Residential Care home to function smoothly and efficiently.

**About you**:

- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian-based Motivation, values, and Mission in Action.
- Aged Care experience - highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in a busy office environment.
- Exceptional customer service focus with a professional and friendly manner.
- Strong administrative and computer skills, including spread sheets, data entry is required.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy and patience to handle a range of questions, queries and complaints.
