Why this role matters

The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling, and withdrawal management services).

William Booth House (WBH) is located on Gadigal lands in Surry Hills. It offers a withdrawal unit and residential rehabilitation.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Alcohol and Other Drug Services Manager to strategically develop and manage client-centred service delivery, operations and staff at William Booth House.

Reporting to the State Manager, this is a full-time, permanent position based in Surry Hills, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 7.

You will successfully- Ensure high quality service delivery in line with our Model of Care, evidence-based practice, funding and organisational requirements and quality and safety frameworks.- Ensure clinical governance, continuous quality improvement and risk management systems for service delivery.- Ensure services are inclusive, accessible and responsive for our diverse clients.- Develop and manage program budgets and finances.- Implement client complaints process, including oversight of incidents, complaints & feedback, and management of complex or referred issues/incidents.- Line manage & supervise team leaders.- Identify needs and gaps of workforce in line with strategy.- Build and maintain strong working relationships with various funding bodies.- Identify and develop referral pathways and/or integrated services with internal or external agencies to TSA- Participate in sector, peak bodies and training or development opportunities.

You will have- A Degree qualification in nursing, social work, welfare, psychology, community development or related field.- Extensive experience and knowledge in AOD/gambling services including in leading and managing staff and operations.
