**The Role**:
**As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the building and surroundings. Your duties will include**:

- Maintaining and having a working knowledge of all building day-to-day maintenance activities.
- Minor property repairs (ie. Light bulbs, cobwebs etc)
- Maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies
- Assist in Refurbishment projects, including painting and preparation of vacant rooms.
- To work closely with the Center Manager and Facilities Manager to establish sound customer relations.
- Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment routinely to determine the necessity of repairs or maintenance.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, major repairs
- Prepare and administer contracts for the provision of property services such as cleaning, maintenance, and security services.
- Other maintenance/compliance duties as required
- Must have previous experience and background in all areas of maintenance.
- Qualifications in trade or trade-related enterprises desirable
- Basic computer skills
- Understand the importance of community living
- Excellent communication skills
- Have a valid Drivers license
