Do you want to be part of a dynamic and forward thinking team? We are seeking an enthusiastic person with experience in policy research, development, review and evaluation with high level communications skills and attention to detail.

**What you'll be doing**
The Performance and Projects Team in the System Management Branch manages the NSW Health Performance Framework. It monitors performance of local health districts, specialty health networks and pillar organisations against annual service agreements, provides strategic advice on issues and obstacles that may adversely impact on health system performance and identifies performance issues.

The Principal Policy Officer - Performance and Projects will provide leadership in the development and evaluation of best practice policies, programs, projects, and activities for the Ministry of Health, public health organisations, and related government agencies. You will support the achievement of NSW Health’s objectives undertaken by System Management Branch relating to health system management.

**Where you'll be working**
You will be working in the System Management Branch within the System Sustainability and Performance Division of the Ministry of Health, a diverse and dynamic team with broad ranging responsibilities. You will work in an agile way balancing working from home and time in the office with the team.

**About you**
We are seeking a motivated and committed individual with previous experience in policy development and evaluation activities. You have proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with key staff in public health organisations and stakeholder representatives to maintain knowledge of health system management issues and discuss and process matters that have Statewide consequences.
We are looking for someone who has:

- previous experience in planning, managing and monitoring projects assigned to the team to ensure project outcomes and/or expectations are achieved
- demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- the ability to work in a small dynamic team environment.
