**About us**
You'll be joining the largest public health system in Australia and contribute to a world-class health system in NSW.

The Strategic Reform and Planning Branch is part of the Health System Strategy and Patient Experience Division. The branch supports and enables strategic reform and planning for the health system by leading over-arching projects and processes to achieve shared outcomes across NSW Health.

The Strategic Reform and Planning Branch includes six units:

- Economics and Evaluation Unit
- Service and Capital Planning Unit
- Speciality Service and Technology Evaluation Unit
- Strategic Analysis and Investment Unit
- Strategic Change and Policy reform Unit
- Strategy and System Priorities Unit

**About this role**
The Service and Capital Planning Unit (in the Strategic Reform and Planning Branch) is seeking a full time Principal Planning and Policy Officer to join the team on a temporary appointment (up to May 2025).

The Service and Capital Planning Unit’s key function is to lead and support the process of service and capital planning and investment for the future.

This is a great opportunity to use and develop experience in capital investment planning and assisting to identify priorities for the annual NSW State Budget process.

The position is located in St Leonards, in a modern, purpose-built building within an activity-based working environment. Close to public transport, cafés and local amenities.

**Crown Clerk Grade 11/12**, starting salary from $139,787 - $161,663 p.a. (plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week)

**What you'll be doing**
The day-to day work over the next twelve months will include:

- Assist in reviewing capital investment proposals from across the state for Health future investment pipeline.
- Complete other projects and tasks related to service and capital planning.
- Update complex policy directives and strategic plans that involve multiple stakeholders.
- Assist with Senior Executive Committees related to Health’s capital program.
- Prepare high quality written reports, briefs, correspondence, and cabinet documents to inform or respond to agency or Government requests.
