**The opportunity**:
Australian Genomics is searching for a talented Project Officer to join our team and contribute to strategic short-term projects. If you thrive on challenges and possess exceptional research and communication skills, this role is your gateway to professional growth.

As a Project Officer at Australian Genomics, you will collaborate closely with our Research Projects and Partnerships Manager, as well as senior management. You'll be entrusted with crucial responsibilities, including project design and methodology, conducting research, critically evaluating information, and crafting insightful reports.

To excel in this role, you'll need to showcase excellent organisational skills, proficiency in desktop research, and exceptional written communication abilities. Your research reports will cater to diverse audiences, so your ability to convey complex ideas effectively is paramount. While you'll be motivated to work independently and drive project progress, rest assured that our tight-knit team will readily provide support and guidance along the way.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Drive project management for specific smaller projects under supervision
Facilitate and lead internal and external meetings/workshops with stakeholders with support and direction to achieve project outcomes
Liaise and manage stakeholder expectations in relation to project delivery (time/resource/cost implications/risk) with support
Contributes to preparation, collection and methodology as required by the project and research group

**About you**:
Degree/Honours/Masters qualification in Health, Science, Policy or another related field
Demonstrated experience in project management including the planning, monitoring and evaluation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with experience communicating to a wide range of stakeholders
