**Job Description**:
We are looking for an HSE Coordinator for our Port Kembla and Carrington operations, to ensure business compliance to legislation, policies, and procedures to reduce risk and ensure safety.
Based at Port Kembla with occasional travel to Carrington, this role will ensure the health, safety and environment systems are set up in compliance with our work safe NSW framework. This role will actively support, implement, and participate in the company Risk Management Programme and assist in the monitoring and maintaining of sites reporting requirements. We are seeking an individual with prior experience and HSE knowledge to assist in the development and implementation of initiatives to reduce incidents and manage workplace safety.
Reporting to the General Manager - Steel your responsibilities will include:
- Updating Tracs, managing certificates of capacity and communication with insurer.
- Reporting on all incidents.
- Audit compliance.
- Management of HSE Committee meetings and agenda.
- Coordinating monthly OHS Meetings
- Ensuring overall compliance as per HSE Plan
- Assisting with preparation for Toolbox Meetings in including toolbox topics.
- Maintaining accurate training records, site procedures, Mud maps, workplace registers and SOPS.

- Tertiary/TAFE OH&S or related qualification.
- Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office suite knowledge
- Customer focused (internal & external)
- Attention to detail
- High organisational skills and excellent communication skills, both written and oral
