**About the role**

We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Legal Assistant to join our highly regarded Sydney Commercial practice. This role will provide dedicated support to two Partners and a close knit team within the Technology, IP and Patent Litigation space. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further develop their legal career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Your duties will include:

- Correspondence and complete matter management
- Time entry and monthly billing
- Reformatting complex documents
- Maintaining the team’s client database
- Booking travel arrangements
- Diary management and co-ordinating meetings
- Manual and electronic filing and general administrative duties
- Conducting IP searches, expert witness searches and engagement and
- Assistance in the preparation of briefs to counsel.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Experience in a specialist IP firm or patent litigation firm is highly regarded
- Good analytical and search skills
- A proactive approach and enthusiasm to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and efficient time management skills
- A high level of professionalism, a personable and friendly disposition, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and experience with billing systems (Aderant Expert).
