Your role at St John of God Health Care

We are looking for two experienced communication superstars to join our Communications and Public Relations team. You will work closely with the Senior Manager, Communications and Public Relations to support St John of God Health Care’s core organisational objectives through compelling storytelling and effective stakeholder management.

In this role you will develop and execute a range of communication activities that promote St John of God Health Care’s Mission, brand and services, and safeguard its image and reputation. You will provide communication support for Group functions and the executive leadership team within St John of God Health Care across a range of channels.

The Position

While our Coordinators work across the breadth of internal and external communications, we are looking for individuals who have demonstrated success in either of these two specific key skillsets:
Content creation:
This Coordinator Communications and Public Relations role is responsible for enhancing our brand's online presence by executing content strategies to share the St John of God Health Care story across all internal and external platforms. You will be passionate about crafting high-quality content to engage our stakeholders and comfortable managing conversations on key issues on social media. This is a hands-on role designed for someone with the energy and drive to make things happen.

Government relations:
For this Coordinator Communications and Public Relations role, we are seeking someone who will support the development of productive relationships with our government and industry partners. You will demonstrate experience in coordinating activities across departments to ensure alignment on positioning and messaging, preparation of briefing notes and involvement in advocacy strategies to influence government and industry stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:- Develop a range of communications tactics to support external campaigns with guidance from the Manager Communications & Public Relations.- Work alongside hospital and service caregivers to tailor messaging and tactics when needed.- Monitor the progress of communication efforts and report outcomes and insights.- Contribute to the editorial pipeline as directed by the Manager Communications & Public Relations.- Write and develop content for all types of media, including the St John of God Health Care blog.- Use storytelling to enhance engagement and build brand loyalty.- Support the development of productive relationships with government and industry partners by coordinating relevant activities across hospitals and services to ensure alignment on positioning and messaging.

You will have hold a relevant tertiary qualification in marketing or communication, as well as a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in developing and executing communication plans and managing communications channels for a large and complex organisation. You will have outstanding writing skills and the ability to produce clear compelling information, coupled with exceptional attention to detail and be a team player.

We can offer you- Salary: $99,917 to $109,371, plus 11.5% superannuation- Permanent full time position working 76 hours per fortnight- Working from home Arrangements- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
