Key Responsibilities- Conducting environmental site inspections and investigating incidents
- Providing professional environmental support to the Environmental Manager and Principal Environment Advisor
- Developing controls for mitigating environmental risks and implementing progress improvement initiatives
Working closely with operational business units, you will assist in implementing and enhancing our Environmental Management System. This includes obtaining environmental approvals, liaising with local community groups and responding to complaints of an environmental nature.
Requirements- A sound understanding of environmental legislation and its application
- Experience in engaging and managing environmental consultants
- Practical experience in environmental management
- Knowledge and experience with a broad range of environmental issues
- A relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, environmental management or related discipline
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the operation of public transport services on rail, coach, buses and ferries, as well as the delivery of major infrastructure projects.
This fixed-term position offers a competitive salary of around $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. You may also be appointed on a part-time basis.
Suitable applicants may be appointed on a full time or part time basis. The initial selection process will fill the available vacancies, but it may also be used to appoint to similar positions within the next twelve months.
