About the role
- Grow significant gifts & make a meaningful impact
- Help eradicate obstetric fistula in Ethiopia
- Sydney location, part time, hybrid

Founded by Australian Dr Catherine Hamlin, Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation is an independent charity established to raise funds and awareness for Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia to eradicate obstetric fistula, and support partnership development. _Their vision is simple: To eradicate obstetric fistula. Forever._

For more than six decades, Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia has focussed on the treatment and prevention of one of the most horrific childbirth injuries - obstetric fistula. Today, Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is a healthcare network of over 550 Ethiopian staff servicing six hospitals, the Desta Mender Rehabilitation Centre, the Hamlin College of Midwives and over 90 Hamlin-supported midwifery clinics. While the eradication of fistula in Ethiopia once seemed impossible, it is becoming a reality that will be achieved due to the growing movement of generous supporters who are determined to see this dream come true. Philanthropy powers this important vision, as well as providing much-needed support for Treatment, Prevention, Rehabilitation and Reintegration programs.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, the Major Gifts Specialist will focus on implementing innovative plans to cultivate, nurture, steward and inspire donors to drive growth in higher-value gifts to support Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation (CHFF) programs.

The Major Gifts Specialist will play an important role and work closely with the Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications to plan, develop and implement the Major Gifts strategic plan and annual budget. You will hold meaningful interactions with donors through personalised and face-to-face activities. You will also monitor and report on performance, new funding initiatives, and fundraising activities. This role is responsible for achieving Major Gifts revenue targets, with the expectation of year-on-year growth across fundraising streams.

About YOU

- Well-developed interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills (oral and written),
- Strong knowledge of fundraising and the donor journey and communication channels, with particular reference to philanthropic trusts and foundations and major donors,
