**What you'll do**:
The Existing Business team is a highly consultative group that manages relationships with and is responsible for the growth and retention of Stripe's fastest growing users. As an Account Associate, Existing Business, you will work with some of our fast growing accounts who are eligible for custom pricing with Stripe. This will require an understanding of our users' needs, potential opportunities and the ability to negotiate commercial terms.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage contract renewals and lead commercial negotiations with our startup and SMB clients.
- Working with users to identify pain points and opportunities to help them continue scaling with Stripe.
- Negotiating a fair exchange of value with these users in exchange for favourable rates.
- Retain and increase revenue and market share with existing accounts.
- Solve complex client needs and work across product, billing, risk and operations teams to improve our offerings.
**Who you are**
We're looking for a well-rounded strategic operator who can both build strong relationships with Stripe's users and manage projects to engage with customers at scale. **Minimum requirements**
- 2 years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably with commercial KPIs within a rapidly growing organisation.
- Ability to build strong rapport with clients, and has demonstrated active listening and consultative skills.
- Analytical ability to manage complex pricing and cost considerations.
- Impeccable time management and prioritisation skills in order to effectively manage and execute competing priorities.
- Motivation and flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment where things change quickly.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
**Preferred requirements**
- Ability to understand the Stripe API and build great relationships with technical customers
- Experience with Excel and SQL, or a willingness to learn.
**Hybrid work at Stripe**
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
