We are currently seeking an Administration Officer with experience in Health and Safety documentation and process in Wacol. The Administration Officer’s primary aim is to assist in providing administrative support to the Safety Manager.

**The role will be primarily responsible for the following accountabilities**:

- Assist with administrative duties involving, maintenance and support of the Work Health & Safety (WHS) components and requirements of the client’s Safety Management Systems, Return to Work, Workers Compensation and Zero Harm Rules
- Ensure documentation of WHS audits and inspections are conducted as per agreed schedule, and that appropriate risk identification, assessment and control measures are in place
- Work with leaders to develop an understanding of and responsibility for managing safety issues
- Review WHS requirements for proposed and existing contractors to ensure due diligence
- Assist in incident management and incident investigations
- Coordinate, facilitate and manage safety forum, toolbox talk schedule, agendas and minutes
- Assist in the coordination of client’s Return to Work and Rehabilitation programs including the development of suitable duties program
- Communicate and promote WHS programs to workers
- Assist in compliance processes related to visitors and any usage of contractors, including safety inductions
- Conduct safety training for workers as directed by safety manager
- Any other duty as reasonably directed by safety manager
- Carry out all duties in line with client’s policies, procedures and processes as amended

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- Relevant qualifications and/or prior experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in conducting safety audits
- Demonstrated experience in analysis and interpretation of safety data
- Demonstrated experience in safety initiatives as well as the evaluation of outcomes
- Demonstrated experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present training sessions
- Demonstrated experience in, or strong knowledge of management systems including ISO 45001 or similar
