ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will implement and facilitate the operation of the Moneycare Financial Capability and Resilience Program in accordance with the “Building Financial Capability and Resilience for vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Australia” project plan, the mission, and policies of The Salvation Army and Moneycare policy, procedures and guidelines.

You will successfully
- Manage the program within the terms of good social business and governance practices under the direction of Money care management in accordance with the_ “Building Financial Capability and Resilience for vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Australia” _project plan.
- Organize and oversee ongoing program evaluation under the direction of Moneycare management, and in collaboration with the Salvation Army research and innovation team and Westpac.
- Assist in further developing the _“You’re the Boss”_ (YTB) financial literacy program and embedding digital technology into the program under the direction of Moneycare management.
- Facilitate and organize training courses on how to best deliver the YTB, based on behavioral insights and best practice coaching.
- Oversee the delivery of the YTB financial literacy program around Australia by trained Coaches.
- Participates in team activities, attends staff meetings when scheduled and demonstrates a supportive approach to other staff members which contributes to the overall team effectiveness.
- Meet Occupational Health and Safety obligations in line with TSA Policy & Procedures & relevant legislation.
- Maintain and develop personal knowledge in area of expertise and meets core values and behaviors of TSA as well as maintaining membership of relevant professional financial counselling body.
- You will have
- Degree qualifications or extensive experience in the fields of education, finance, community services, psychology or related fields.
- Experience in project management
- Have knowledge of behavioral insights and the impact on providing financial literacy/capability education to people in financial stress.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, the mission and values of The Salvation Army.
- Hold a Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) or be willing to undertake some financial literacy education units.
- Working with Children check is required.
- Must be willing to travel intra/interstate.

This is a permanent Part Time (22.8 hours) position based in Redfern. Salary in accordance with SCHADS Level 5.
