Why this role matters

The Doorways program provides person centred care to community members experiencing financial or other forms of hardship through the provision of financial and material emergency relief. Case management is provided at some of the Doorways sites to engage people through early intervention as well as address long term disadvantage to break the cycle of poverty and alleviate financial hardship. Our practitioners are strength based and trauma informed in their practice to build individual capacity, resilience and wellbeing.

About the role

Support the National Doorways Operations Manager to conduct a national review of the Christmas Cheer program to nationalise service design and delivery, through project coordination and administration.

You will successfully
- Support the National Doorways Operations Manager to establish a working group to assist with the Christmas Cheer program review
- Coordinate the activities that emerge from the working group
- Ensure minutes from meetings are taken and distributed with actions and timeframes clearly shown
- Develop a project timeline to ensure activities are progressing and being implemented according to the Review Proposal
- Liaise and communicate with relevant stakeholders to ensure project workload, tasks and reports are shared
- Coordinate and problem solve operational issues for the team
- In consultation with the National Doorways Operations Manager, prepare the final project report including recommendations from the working group
- Coordinate any surveys and assist with the analysis of the data captured by the surveys
- Work with the Research team to coordinate any research requirements
- Gather relevant data about service delivery and community needs
- Gather information in relation to developments in the sector including the social, political and economic developments affecting the sector

This is a full-time, max term (6 month contract) position located in Redfern, NSW.

You will have
- Experience in project administration and support
- Knowledge of The Salvation Army’s Christmas Cheer program would be an advantage
- Experience in the emergency relief space would be an advantage
- A national police record check is required
- Drivers Licence
- Working With Children Check
