About the role

This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of SAES Response activities within their Region, specifically:

- Ensure an appropriate service delivery capability is developed and maintained.
- Oversee and coordinate operational management of all SAES response activities within the region
- Build and maintain relationships with Salvation Army operations within the region.
- Build and maintain relationships with local and regional stakeholders ie. Local government departments and agencies

This position is a member of the state SAES Response leadership team and will work in accordance with any state plans, frameworks and practice for client centred service delivery.

You will successfully
- Plan for the recruitment and training of a response ready SAES volunteer workforce in the region, including any volunteer administration.
- Identify suitable training dates and locations within the State Training Calendar and provide training, as required to SAES response volunteers in the region.
- Ensure all SAES response facilities and equipment in the region are serviceable and ready to respond.
- Build partnerships with other agencies in the region as required to ensure clients can access services to meet their needs.
- Ensure service delivery meets all contractual and accreditation requirements.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Central West Region New South Wales (Bathurst to Dubbo to Forbes to Cowra) Ideally successful applicants will live in the specific region. The role requires travel & nights away (mainly within region) and weekend work.

You will have
- Relevant qualification or equivalent emergency and disaster management experience.
- MR driving licence is preferred, or willingness to attain.
- A Working with Children Check.
