Are you a seasoned professional in the field of security and network solutions? Uniting NSW. ACT is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Cybersecurity program as a** Security and Network Solution Designer.**

**Responsibilities**:
**As the Security and Network Solution Designer, your primary responsibilities will include**:

- Developing and maintaining a design process aligned with business, technology, and Cybersecurity program drivers.
- Creating solution implementation and service transition plans based on sound design practices.
- Developing and maintaining security design artefacts, standards, and procedures.
- Tracking developments in the digital business and cyber threat environments to address them in solutions.
- Driving technical design initiatives for security technologies and system requirements.
- Designing technical solutions and describing their structure, characteristics, and behaviour to stakeholders.
- Enhancing Uniting's Cyber Security Framework and contributing to solutions architecture.
- Identifying current and emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits, designing solutions to mitigate them.
- Meeting stakeholder requirements and accounting for project constraints.
- Supporting the testing and validation of internal security controls.
- Selecting project technology stacks based on security, financial, and operational metrics.
- Ensuring compliance with non-functional requirements and partnering with key roles.
- Reviewing security technologies, tools, and services, making recommendations based on metrics.
- Supporting development efforts and project governance processes.
- Leading during detailed design, build, test, and deploy phases, accountable for benefits realisation.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

- 8 or more years of experience in security and network solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational, systematic, and disciplined approach.
- Knowledge of industry cybersecurity standards and frameworks.
- Understanding of technical components of IT security, including network security, cloud hosting, access control, and software security.
- Detailed understanding of information, network, and security architectures, and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in ITIL strategy, network and platform components, Active Directory, and security protocols.
- Experience in delivering projects in Agile project management methodologies.
- NIST and/or ISO27000 certification (preferred).
- Certified Certification (Foundation) in ITIL.
- Experience in technology solution engineering, assessment, and creation of design artefacts.
- Experience in the development of technology options, assessments, and comparisons.

**Even better if you have**:

- Experience in Enterprise Hybrid Cloud security and access solutions - Microsoft Azure platforms.
- Experience in technology consulting.
