Job Title: AWS Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced AWS Security Engineer to join our team at Culture Amp. The role is based in Australia and requires a deep understanding of cloud security principles, AWS services, and software development.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement infrastructure security controls to meet evolving threats
  • Engineer robust solutions to complex security challenges using AWS and software development skills
  • Support security assessments for Culture Amp solutions
  • Select and maintain appropriate security controls
Requirements
  • Extensive experience with Visual Studio Code, Git, code linting tools, AWS CLI, Typescript (NodeJS) and/or Python
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in software development philosophies such as Trunk Based Development, Verification approaches (TDD, BDD), 12-Factor Applications, Hexagonal Application Architectures, Design Patterns, Principles of Object Oriented Design (S.O.L.I.D)
  • Experience with authentication and authorization, cloud security posture management, data loss prevention, endpoint detection and response, intrusion detection systems, network firewall, security information and event management, vulnerability management, and web application firewall
  • Broad knowledge and experience across areas of AWS, including compute, storage, networking, IAM, security, controls, and governance
  • Strong experience with modeling and writing an infrastructure layer as code within AWS
