**About the role**
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role oversees both the Architectural Hardware and Cabinet Hardware divisions of the business. This strategically vital business role is responsible for leading a team of sales professionals and carries primary responsibility to deliver financial objectives of revenue, gross margin, product mix and controllable expenses, whilst ensuring compliance with internal strategies, goals, policies and procedures.
The role also has a focus on operational efficiencies through product forecasting, customer logistics optimisation and will be a key conduit for both the state distribution centre and state branch network.
A strong and collaborative leader, you will provide influential leadership to both direct and indirect reports and extend a culture of ownership, success and excellence. The key responsibilities of the position include:
- Implementing and executing existing sales strategies to grow market share across Architectural & Cabinet Hardware and Lincoln Sentry Products
- Assist in the preparation and execution of both state and national sales plans and policies.
- Review and report performance against KPI’s and all relevant aspects of state activity.
- Direct the sales teams’ productivity to actively support business direction.
- Offer hands on leadership to the broader state work, develop and execute the businesses sales strategy, and work closely with critical stakeholders.
- Motivate and engage the team through in field coaching and your demonstrated people development skills
- Utilise CRM and sales analytics to assist the team and drive business growth
- Provide up-to-date training and sales information to state team, build and maintain customer relationships.

**Skills & Experience**
You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a “culture of high performance” in the team and building a professional and organised approach to our sales activities. You will be confident partnering with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver new strategies, ideas, and processes. Ideally, you can demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience in sales or management roles
- Trade facing industry experience is desirable
- Analytical mindset with the ability to comprehend trends and converting them into action
- Effective leadership and coaching/mentoring skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset - taking action to add and leverage value and efficiency
