**Why do we need you?**

Hume City Council's Family, Youth & Children Department is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to work as a Supported Playgroup Facilitator within the Playgroup Team.

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Experience in the early years sector with a key focus on ability to facilitate and plan supported playgroup activities.
- Experience in working along families to enhance parenting skills by promoting physical activity, cognitive stimulation, emotional well-being and social interaction and inclusion.
- Experience in providing strength-based support to families through a range of activities that positively impact on children and parent's wellbeing including connecting families with each other and their community and sustained engagement in relevant groups and programs, in particular engagement with Early Year Services, the Universal and Enhanced Maternal & Child Health Services.

**About You**

As a Supported Playgroup facilitator who is passionate about delivering high-quality services your responsibility/qualifications and expertise will include but not limited to:

- Ability to develop collaborative relationships and partnerships with diverse community and service providers to ensure that the Supported Playgroups funding is used within guidelines and according to demonstrated need.
- Demonstrated knowledge in parenting and parenting related issues.
- Demonstrated well developed verbal and written communication skills with team members and to families from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in working with families and young children.
