**_ What is a Playgroup Team Lead at Hume City Council?_**

The Playgroup Team Leader is responsible for leading the delivery of the state government funded Supported Playgroups program and community engagement in playgroups across the Hume municipality.

This rewarding opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and innovative person to work as part of the leadership team to;
- provide leadership and coaching to staff
- undertake service planning and reporting for the Supported Playgroups Program
- collating, analysing and presenting data
- support initiatives and development of programs that are responsive to the needs of children and families.

**_ About you_**
- Recent relevant experience in design, implementation and evaluation of community development activities or early years sector including organisational partnerships and engagement with families and children particularly from isolated and marginalised communities.
- Demonstrated understanding of how community profile informs and shapes service delivery and planning approaches. Experience working in a culturally diverse community would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to gain cooperation and to respectfully manage the expectations of a range of diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in a leadership and management capacity with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and supervise staff and manage program and financial resources.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Bachelor or Diploma, in social science, early childhood services or social work, and recent, relevant experience in early years and/or family and children's services and /or community development settings OR lesser formal qualifications with substantial recent, relevant experience or through substantial relevant experience in the field of specialist expertise.
