**The Role**

My Client is a global leader in transport and logistics and Oceania’s premier freight forwarder.

For almost 40 years, our people-first approach to building relationships with clients and partners has helped us access the world’s most significant trade routes throughout New Zealand, Australia, Asia, Europe and the USA.

We have a fully integrated, end-to-end business model, including sea and air freight, import and export, wharf transport, customs, and warehousing solutions that help drive your business forward.

**The key responsibilities for this position include**:

- Work closely with Logistics Managers to plan execution tasks.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight providers and customers.
- Manage allocated commodity positions to delivery execution.
- Create movement orders
- Obtain weights where required and reconcile deliveries against sales/purchase orders.
- Monitor contract execution.
- Review freight allocations in order to assess further optimisation.
- Contract administration in line with the freight administration task.
- Where applicable develop delivery schedules for customers.
- Provide weekly schedule to freight providers.
- Assist in sales contract entry and negotiate pricing with customers as required.

**The key aspects of your skills and experience include**:

- Solid verbal, negotiation and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- A good understanding of the business and logistics processes.
- Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and Legislation.
- Sound computing skills.
- Able to work in Office and Microsoft Dynamics programs.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to double check and query inconsistencies.
- Methodical and process driven with an ability to plan ahead
- Prior experience in grain industry is desirable.
