As the Bid Manager in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Customers Team, you will be responsible for the identification, preparation and submission of high-quality tender responses for the provision of energy solutions products (such as Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging) and services in the C&I sector. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and oversee the bid management process, coordinating the commercial and technical solutions, and preparation of the proposal and/or tender response.

What you’ll be doing:
- Developing a detailed understanding of AGL’s value proposition and prepare detailed proposals/tender responses highlighting AGL’s experience, capability and ability to meet the customers’ needs within the parameters of the request for proposal/tender documentation.- Monitoring tender portals and identifying opportunities which align to business objectives and reviewing tender documents and establishing a detailed understanding of tender requirements.- Setting up bid plans and establishing a Bid Team based on the tender requirements, assigning accountability, responsibilities and timeframes to each member of the team.- Implementing bid governance controls and ensuring appropriate sign-off is achieved in accordance with delegation of authority framework and maintaining and continuously updating the bid knowledge database.- Working with legal / finance team as required to negotiate contract terms and conditions in accordance with business rules and effectively track and communicate the status of sales opportunities leveraging CRM tools in line with reporting requirements.

What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or similar with experience of bid campaign management for opportunity identification through t project delivery handover including an understanding of the energy market and energy solutions space including solar, batteries and energy efficiency.- Proven capability in planning producing and delivering winning, multi-million-dollar bids for product or complex services opportunities.- Demonstrated ability to translate requirements into deal summaries, bid plans, detailed proposals, as well as assign accountability and timeframes to key stakeholders, track deadlines and also provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions, and solution design.- Strong attention to detail and an ability to thoroughly read through and interpret complex tender documents and customer requirements and summarise for the broader team.- Strong writing skills, and intermediate Microsoft Office, and experience working with CRM solutions to report and track pipeline progress.
