**THE ROLE**

The Adviser Aboriginal and Diversity and Inclusion Unit, will support the delivery of initiatives under the Aboriginal workforce strategy, the Diversity and Inclusion Framework, the Gender Equality Action Plan and diversity actions. You will provide advice, information and support to management, staff and stakeholders in line with relevant departmental policies and project guidelines.

The position works with the Aboriginal and Diversity Inclusion teams, works with providers, connects with peers and networks across the Victorian Public Service and provides peer support to people from diverse backgrounds. The department aims to be an employer of choice for people of diverse backgrounds and this role is a unique opportunity for you to bring your passion, skills and lived experience to ensure the department is a leader in diversity and inclusion.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Prepare operational and practice initiatives to meet the strategic directions for managing and delivering high quality services.
- Develop compliance and evaluation strategies to address issues related to the effective provision and implementation of required outcomes.
