About the Role

The role of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Advisor exists to support Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) at Melbourne Water. The role will advise into the newly established Diversity & Inclusion operating framework whilst also driving and supporting initiatives and projects across the business. In this a flexible permanent part time position we support and encourage you to bring your lived experience in to empower change and drive Melbourne Waters maturity.
- Contribute in the operations of the Belonging Framework (D&I operating model), our six focus areas are Gender Equality, LGBTIQA+, Disability, Culturally & Linguistically Diverse, Social Disadvantage and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Coordinate the delivery of events and communication plans for Days of Significance.
- Development, project management and ownership of DIB actions dashboard.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert consultation services on development of future action plans and strategies in DIB, including focus group support.
- Compliance and reporting responsibilities to support Manager DIB.
- Implement, drive engagement and analyse diversity surveys.

About You:

- Well-developed organisational and project management skills, ideally with demonstrated experience contributing to or leading DIB initiatives/projects.
- Deep understanding and knowledge about diversity, inclusion and belonging with previous experience across frameworks, policy and initiatives/projects.
- Well-developed communication skills with the ability to influence and drive engagement.
- Prior experience in the Diversity and Inclusion space alongside lived experience will be highly regarded for this role.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Science, Psychology, Counselling, Human Resources, Change Management, Communications or related discipline and/or substantial relevant experience.
