**The Role**

This position has flexible working arrangements (home/Russell Offices) and will require you to have your own internet connection when working remotely. A Defence laptop can be provided if you do not have a computer and DREAMS token.

The applicant will need to demonstrate their ability against aspects of the key duties of this role:

- Coordinating ministerial tasks on the Protected and SECRET networks.
- Preparing ministerial documentation.
- Providing quality assurance reviews on briefs.
- Training Navy staff on the Ministerial system, PDMS.
- Coordinating approvals for visits to Navy bases and platforms.
- Coordinating Navy's briefing requirements for Senate Estimates hearings.
- Innovation in a team environment; contribute to discussion.
- Reporting on Ministerial taskings.
- Other ad-hoc coordination tasks as required.

**About our Team**
The Navy Ministerials and Coordination team work under Chief of Staff Navy Headquarters (COS NHQ) in the Executive Directorate.

The team consists of three staff, an EL1 and 2 x APS 6, and is supported by the Deputy COS NHQ and other Navy staff as required. Whilst mostly working remotely, the team work closely via Skype to achieve outcomes and communicate regularly to discuss daily priorities.

The team experiences high & low volume periods during the year, with Senate Estimates Hearings being a peak period. While some Ministerials are occasionally drafted and coordinated within the team, the work is mostly process-based. There will also be opportunities to assist other teams in low volume times to expand your knowledge. The team encourages innovation and contributing to team discussion.
