The Role
Vocus is a leading telecommunications company dedicated to providing exceptional services to our clients. We are currently seeking a dynamic Payroll and P&C Officer to join our team.
We are a flexible and welcoming team who are open to both Part Time and Full Time applicants.
As a Payroll and P&C Officer at Vocus, you'll embark on an exciting journey of growth and development, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our payroll and P&C operations. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in various aspects of payroll management and P&C, gaining valuable skills and experience along the way.

**Diving into Dayforce**:
You'll dive headfirst into Dayforce, an emerging HCM system in Australia, mastering its functionalities and intricacies. Through hands-on experience and training, you'll become proficient in using Dayforce to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

**Guidance and Support**:
At Vocus, we believe in providing our team members with the guidance and support they need to excel. As a Payroll and P&C Officer, you'll benefit from dedicated mentoring in all aspects of payroll management. In addition to payroll responsibilities, you will play a key role in People & Culture (P&C) administration and have exposure to P&C initiatives. This exposure will broaden your understanding of HR processes and practices, enriching your overall professional development. By actively participating in P&C initiatives, you'll contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment at Vocus.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process Fortnightly Payroll: Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees.
- Employee contract generation including letters associated with changes to employee's terms and conditions.
- Data Integrity: Enter payroll and employee data into Dayforce, maintaining high standards of data integrity.
- Termination Management: Prepare termination off-cycle runs efficiently and accurately.
- Reporting and Reconciliation: Run end-of-month reports, reconcile accounts, and prepare monthly payments.
- Customer Service: Address and resolve payroll and P&C related queries promptly, providing exceptional service to our team members.

**Key Qualifications and Attributes**:

- 2+ Years of Australian Payroll Experience: Demonstrated experience in end to end payroll processing in an Australian context.
- Familiarity with Payroll Software: Exposure to payroll software, with knowledge of Dayforce being advantageous.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring precision in all tasks.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new systems and processes.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excel Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, facilitating efficient data management and reporting.
- Confidentiality: Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive payroll information.
- Customer Focus: Customer service-oriented with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
