**The opportunity**

In this role you will lead a team of highly skilled underwriters, focusing on Small to Medium Enterprise business, which is serviced through our key Broker Partners. It is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team, striving for excellent outcomes for our Broker Partners and their customers.

**Your new role**
- Execute the CX operations strategy by translating into objectives for the team to deliver.
- Ensure proactive risk management -all Underwriting decisions are managed within delegated authorities and referred/escalated where appropriate and underwriting guidelines are adhered to.
- Proactively engage with key partners for Business growth and liaise with relevant stakeholders to uplift the service experience.
- Use data & Insights to drive the Team and Underwriter productivity, actively contributing to achieving SME budgets on New Business and Retention
- Provide technical direction, leadership and coaching to underwriting staff.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the SME CX Leadership team to drive and implement strategic initiatives

**About you**
- Extensive people leadership experience in the Insurance industry or Financial Sector within an underwriting, operational and/or sales role
- Well-developed commercial acumen and strategic planning skills
- Strong influencing, negotiation, data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with an effective ability to communicate and collaborate across different teams
- Strong ownership, accountability to deliver outcomes
