The role

The 9LV CMS is currently operational on the AusCMS platform and development is ongoing on a number of other platforms within the Royal Australian Navy and for a range of International customers.

Within this context, the Software Team Lead will be working under the direction of the Test Manager - Software Operations. They will be responsible for the planning and management of the development of their team’s software components and its automated testing for all the assigned modules to meet the objectives of multiple projects.
- Take the key outputs of the requirements development process and translate those outputs into a compliant CMS design.
- Lead, coordinate and guide a software development team in the production of 9LV software and associated artefacts.
- Discuss and agree upon the software scope, design and implementation for 9LV CMS.
- Prepare, monitor and revise software development estimates and forecast for the production of software to meet the objectives of multiple projects as directed by the 9LV Software Test Manager.
- Be responsible for the delivery of the 9LV software to the agreed scope, quality and cost.
- Be responsible for the resolution of 9LV associated System Performance Reports (SPRs) and tickets allocated to the team.
- Flexible work arrangements such as 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role._

About you
- Your skills and experience will include:_
- Demonstrated experience in the development of modules within the 9LV environment or team leadership in a defence related software development environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in systems engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
- Experience in the development of large software projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of the lifecycle of large software development projects.
- Experience in producing and reviewing technical documentation.
- Experience with the products, development environment and the tools used to develop and support the software.

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
