**What you will be doing**:
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital as the Business Operations Manager in a Permanent Full Time Position. The Business and Operations Manager is responsible for providing senior leadership as a member of the Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial (BMDAM) & Springwood Hospitals Executive team advice and support on financial, business, corporate and performance related matters.

The position has an executive leadership role in:

- Use of performance indicators to monitor corporate governance and information management systems and assist in workforce planning, monitoring and rostering.
- Developing capability of Heads of Department and Managers to meet the operational and financial accountabilities of their roles including their monthly reporting to the Executive on FTE, budget and activity.
- Operationally leading and managing corporate support services to ensure that the services support clinical care and optimise the patient experience.
- Working closely with the Finance Business Partner in relation to the financial management and governance of the service; future activity target setting; and liaising with the Finance BP for analysis and corrective actions at the monthly Performance and Strategy meetings.
- Supporting the General Manager in effective and efficient operational performance of Blue Mountains and Springwood Hospitals to deliver consistent outcomes.

**Selection Criteria to be Addressed**:

- Tertiary qualifications in the area of Health Administration/Management or Business, supported by experience in the operational management and leadership of health services.
- Demonstrated experience as an executive team member within a public or private sector hospital, whereby operational and organisation-wide financial and business advice is provided in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a corporate support team to achieve best practice in cost-effective administrative systems and contribute to optimal patient outcomes and the patient experience.
- Demonstrated experience in high-level written and verbal communication, including proven ability to effectively and efficiently consult, liaise and negotiate and problem solve in order to establish and maintain formal relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, inclusive of a diverse range of professionals and organisations
- Demonstrated and strongly developed strategic, analytical skills, including demonstrated proficiency in financial and data analysis, activity-based management, service development with ability to collaborate with a diverse range of professionals and organisations.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel. Ability to travel within the LHD in accordance with the position.
