Oji Fibre Solutions, part of a rapidly expanding global manufacturer of innovative packaging solutions, requires an energetic and results driven Quality Improvement Coordinator to join our corrugated packaging plant in VIC. Our Noble Park plant manufactures corrugated boxes which play an important part in the presentation, protection, and transportation of customer products in the Horticulture, Meat, Industrial, FMCG and Paper Products segments.

Reporting to the Quality Manager (based in QLD), you will be accountable for the efficient and effective coordination and implementation of the quality management system, quality improvement activities and Food Safety Management System across the plant, ensuring quality and business objectives and targets are achieved.

At a high level, you will:

- Ensure the site complies with ISO 9001:2015 and Food Safety (GMP/HACCP) requirements; conduct internal audits, recommend, implement and drive action plans to ensure compliance, and maintain documentation in accordance with the national documentation system
- Deliver quality training to managers/employees to grow and develop quality skills and knowledge (identify training needs, develop training, facilitate training sessions)
- Measure and improve quality related KPI’s, compile and deliver timely quality reports to all levels of the organisation
- Manage the site NCR system in order to reduce quality issues, waste and cost
- Lead third party and customer audits and manage the outcomes from these audits for the site
- Perform laboratory testing as required

Critical to the success of this role will be your ability to work in a fast paced environment while managing multiple tasks at once; develop strong internal relationships; communicate with people at all levels; influence positive change; and coach management and employees to grow their capability and understanding of quality standards.

The successful applicant will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role; and Tertiary and/or industry qualifications in Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing/5S. Previous experience or knowledge in Food Safety Management Systems is desirable.
