**About the Role**
We are seeking a
**Branch Operations Supervisor** to join our
**Melbourne Team.** This role will be working closely with the Branch State Operations Manager.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Adapt, promote and encourage a Safety First approach
- Ensure that the Safety of staff, customers and the public is always maintained.
- To foster a “Yes We Can” attitude in achieving internal and external customer requests to ensure a high level of service and satisfaction.
- Be prepared to travel to support the State and Branch Mangers when needed.
- Complete all reasonable tasks when required.
- Monthly reporting of activities and projects.
- Ensure effective planning for growth within the branches.
- Effective and efficient management of the general operations of all branch staff, skills and service, working closely with Branch Managers.
- Develop operational budgets by branch, and work with State and Branch Managers to ensure they are achieved.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses and development needs of staff in all branches.
- Forward planning for growth and continuous improvement.
- Ensure efficient and effective on time delivery to customers.
- Maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics and yard operations.
- Ensure delivery costs are within budgets, and work with branch management to achieve this as necessary.
- Where viable, ensure branches are constantly recruiting for driver contractors.
- Make sure all branches have adequate assets such as cylinders, gas, vehicles and people to achieve budget.
- Ensure branches understand and implement effective cylinder utilisation.
- Ensure afterhours teams are organized and updated.
- Always be contactable for all internal and external customers.
**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Preferred knowledge and understanding of the Supagas business
- Preferred knowledge and understanding of the Supagas Safety Case and Safety Management System
- Proven experience mentoring and leading teams across a multi-site network
- Commercial capability, which involves understanding the commercial drivers of the business and how value is created within the business.
- Must have the drive to achieve and the ability to persuade and influence others
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to establish productive, professional relationships at all levels of the business, including liaising with many departments and specialties to achieve positional objectives
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- An eye for efficiencies and continuous improvement
