**Job Description**:
We currently have an opportunity in our dynamic and customer focused operations based in Dandenong with a major FMCG customer. We are looking for a for a confident and professional Dayshift Supervisor to oversee the AM operations on a Monday to Friday shift from 5:45 - 2:15pm. This is an 18month fixed term contract role.
As a Dayshift Supervisor you will be reporting into the site Operations Manager and your role will be to direct, coordinate, supervise staff and meet service objectives of the customer. You will also be responsible for leading the warehouse team to ensure outstanding results are achieved whilst driving a strong commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage warehousing activities and ensure work is performed safely and efficiently across Receiving, Picking and despatch functions with a team of around 36 staff
- Drive a strong safety culture across the warehouse.
- Ensuring that HACCP requirements are met
- Building and promoting a team environment that works collaboratively
- Identify CI improvements and encourage an innovative culture
- Manage daily labour against requirements and projects
- Ensure customer expectations are met and managed accordingly
**Qualifications**:
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- Experience in a similar position, with responsibility for leading a strong safety culture
- Experience using SAP would be an advantage
- A proven track record in a warehousing environment, particularly within the FMCG industry
- Ability to prioritise workload and achieve results through people
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers, subcontractors and operational personnel
- Experience training, coaching and mentoring a team would be looked upon favourably
- Strong customer service focus
