**What you'll be doing**

This position is the primary support to the EDF&CS, and ISLHD Executive in the in-depth analysis of the District’s financial / activity performance and the identification of underlying budget / service ‘risk’ and solutions. Building an understanding of Activity Based Funding (ABF) across the District will be an integral function of this position. This position will also support the preparation of business strategies and Business cases, as well as undertake benefits realisation analysis post-implementation of new business strategies in order to ensure the District meets the performance targets determined by the District / MOH.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). **Selection Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business management, economics or a related discipline or other relevant experience. Membership of a relevant Professional Association is desirable.
- Significant experience, within the Health Sector, in Senior Finance and/or Management roles, with significant experience in Activity Based Funding (ABF) and/or Activity Based Management (ABM).
- Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Health particularly those relating to funding and costing; financial and budget management.
- Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and experience in liaison and negotiation for contact with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to engage clinicians and clinical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake complex financial analysis using various analytical and/or statistical techniques on very large data sets.
- Demonstrated high level leadership, strategic development and management skills to enable a clear and defined outcome focus to meet required deadlines.
- Demonstrated prior experience in leading the development of financial improvement plans (especially productivity and/or efficiency improvements).
