**Primary role purpose**:
The role holder is responsible for the long-term planning and management of G2’s hardware product, ensuring effective delivery of new products enabling substantial revenue growth across the business. To this end, the role holder will be focused on liaison with suppliers and central procurement teams, ensuring that all G2 hardware product and offers are commercially viable in SAP, the pricings are reflected and adjusted in a timely manner, appropriately documented and accessible to all G2 teams. Be the SME in hardware solution and proficiency in the provisioning of BOM. This role will also explore and identify forward-going customer requirements, guide product development, and deliver the commercial service introduction (CSI).

The role holder will be responsible for working across the Inmarsat Central Function teams, G2 supporting teams and suppliers to: (i) onboard new hardware product to SAP for G2 market; (ii) ensure the validity of all G2 related hardware product in SAP and are correctly updated on pricings; (iii) provide and master bill-of-material (BOM) of all G2 related hardware product solution; (iv) document the business case for new hardware developments. The role will serve as the principal interface between G2 and the Central Function teams (master material, supply chain, procurement), coordinating requirements and providing management oversight to deliver and maintain hardware offers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Interface with hardware suppliers to:

- Obtain and maintain the pricing for new and existing hardware products respectively.
- Check the validity and longevity of product offerings and supply.
- Coordinate the end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-support (EOS).
- Work with CFO procurement team and to ensure that product supply and distribution agreement are appropriated documented and updated between supplier and Inmarsat for G2 customers when required.
- Manage the interface with the COO teams and to ensure that:

- New hardware product is properly onboarded to SAP with the rightly set pricing.
- Product portfolio is regularly reviewed, and with pricing adjusted accordingly in SAP.
- Removal of EOL & EOS product from SAP platform.
- Work across G2BU internal sales, sales support, engineering, and delivery teams to:

- Collect market and customers’ requirements on existing and future hardware product.
- Act as an SME for G2 hardware product offerings, assist with the commercial managers to ensure they have the necessary information including BOM, to produce compelling proposal and offers.
- Provide guidance to sales support and delivery teams on the right items to quote and order.
- Providing information back from CPM on any developments they are doing for other BU’s that G2 might be able to benefit from, ensuring G2 is well placed to capitalise on new products coming into the market.
- Provide SME support for bids and offers, including contribution to the writing and publishing of bid documentation.
- Work with marketing to maintain and deliver appropriate market facing collateral regarding G2’s hardware product offerings.
- Any other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential Knowledge and Skills**:

- Qualification of a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering discipline, or above.
- Work experience in SAP, SFDC, procurement and supply chain.
- Knowledge in a product management or related commercial role.
- Excellent writing skills combined with high level of skill in using Microsoft Office products.
- Good interpersonal stakeholder management skills.
