About the role:
AGL’s Land & Approvals team assists with managing AGL’s diverse property portfolio which consists of freehold land, leases, licences, easements, management rights and access agreements across Australia, as well as obtaining approvals for AGL’s energy projects.

As the Land and Approval Manager you will be responsible for the development, delivery, implementation and management of regulatory approval pathway to support the pipeline of energy projects for our existing and future assets. Specific responsibilities include:

- Strategic development and coordination for obtaining regulatory approval for energy projects
- Facilitating workshops to align the approvals’ scope, assumptions and timelines
- Developing and implementing community, Government and internal stakeholder engagement plans to deliver the project requirements
- Identification of improvements, innovation and efficiencies within the land management and approval process

About You:
You will ideally have a background in Town Planning, Environmental Science / Engineering or similar with exposure to land access negotiation and regulatory approvals for energy industry projects or heavy industrial sites. Your advanced communication, interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills will set you up for success.

What you’ll bring to the table:

- Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Environmental Science / Engineering or similar
- Experience in the project management of the regulatory approvals pathway
- Experience coordinating the development of Environmental Impact Statements with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience consulting to or working on energy industry project development or other heavy industrial land use projects
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to influence outcomes with a range of internal and external stakeholders
