**Where do you come in?**
We’re looking for a Bookkeeper/Office Administrator who shares our values and can help us by undertaking our financial tasks as well as being our point of contact for all things office related.
You’ll have experience as a Bookkeeper, undertaking all of the financial activities required in a small business. Additionally, you’ll love being the go-to person for everything the business needs from ordering office supplies to managing company events and coordinating travel for the team.
We’re based in Cheltenham Melbourne and looking for someone to be in the office 3-4 days per week but are flexible on working hours.
**The position requires**:
- At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small business.
- Hands on experience with Reckon or a similar Accounting software solution
- Proven experience as an Office Manage or Administrative Assistant
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Reliability and discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced fun work environment
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
- Sound judgment and good problem-solving skills
- Great team player
**Job Description, main duties, and responsibilities**:
**Finance / Bookkeeping**:
- Payment of bills
- Cost Allocations in Accounting Software
- BAS submission
- Work with Accountant to prepare Company Tax Returns
- Monthly Financial Reporting for Management
**Manage and execute the event payout process with Event Organisers**
- Reconciliation of event payouts, post event communications with organisers, processing the payout through the banking network, invoice generation, revenue recognition
**Payroll**
- Manage and execute monthly payroll for all staff (Permanent and Casuals)
- Managing timesheets/expense claims for staff (Permanent and Casuals)
- Superannuation payments
- ATO payments
**HR Support**:
- New staff onboarding - contract creation and administration, equipment purchase, systems administration, payroll entry
- Organise prospective staff interviews
- Schedule staff reviews
- Update and maintain office policies as necessary
**Management of Office Admin functions, such as**:
- Travel & Accommodation bookings
- Office Supplies requests
- Managing office budgets
- Organising Company events
- Admin Support Managing Director and other Senior Execs
