**About the Role**
As part of the University of Melbourne's newly formed Performing Arts Department under the Global Culture and Engagement Portfolio, you'll be instrumental in ensuring seamless program and venue management. Reporting to the Manager, Performing Arts Programs, you'll collaborate with various stakeholders - from University faculties to external partners - to facilitate a diverse lineup of events and activities at Market Hall and the Amphitheatre. Your responsibilities also extend to providing crucial administrative support to the Director of the Performing Arts Department. Be at the heart of an exciting journey in the arts and academia.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Driving daily operations, bookings and and programs within Market Hall,and the Amphitheatre with a focus on continuous improvement
- Managing venue inquiries, coordinating event schedules and bookings
- Offering guidance and training as needed for student and external events, ensuring compliance with venue hiring terms, safety protocols, and occupational health and safety guidelines.
- Developing and maintaining reporting and data relating to Market Hall and Amphitheatre usage.

You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination- of relevant experience and education/training.-
- Proven expertise in fast-paced customer service, especially within a university student experience setting, preferred.For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD.
- This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and _valid Working with Children Check_ to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone._
