The Airport Infrastructure Manager is responsible for managing the development of Airport infrastructure strategies that are Commercially and Operationally sustainable, strategic, innovative and provide an exceptional Customer Experience. This will require an expert knowledge of infrastructure requirements, airport operations, and the ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to effect cultural change.
This role will develop strategies and business cases to support Qantas Group capacity growth and infrastructure needs to support the Groups customer and operational requirements. This role will review and critique Airport Authorities capital investment plans, Major Developments plans and Masterplans to ensure alignment with Qantas Group priorities, in-line with Qantas’ capital review process and individual business unit needs. It will identify and drive opportunities to reduce costs and manage the strategic growth of onshore airports. This role will also develop, maintain and lead strong working relationships with Qantas’ internal and external customers to ensure that the pricing of services and provision of infrastructure meet Qantas’ ongoing requirements.
This role will deliver group requirements on key airport infrastructure projects. In the short term, this includes developing a strategy for major transformational development projects at Sydney and Western Sydney Airports as well as developing a response to proposed runway developments at Melbourne and Perth.
You’ll have
- 5+ years in Infrastructure Consulting or similar
- Tertiary Qualification with similar prior work experience
- Project Management training and proven experience
- Expert understanding across all aspects of Airline business -infrastructure, operations, commercial, product and service
- Analytical and strategic thinking, identifying commercial issues and opportunities from the business perspective
- Managed and engaged people through strong facilitation, communication and collaboration skills
- Redesigned business practices to deliver breakthrough results
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Proven experience in cultural change within Airport operational areas
- Experience in process review and improvement
- Previously coached, mentored and developed staff
- A proven ability in managing complex competing priorities
- Provided succinct and effective communication to senior executive management.
- Competency in key management capabilities including managing tasks, self-management, resource planning and managing relationships.
