**POSITION REPSONSIBILITIES**:

- Lead and implement whole school improvement initiatives related to the School Strategic Plan, the Annual Implementation Plan and school priorities including the use of data to inform practice
- Model teaching practice commensurate with salary range and mentor/coach other teachers in the school
- Provide the strategic direction and innovation for Inclusion within the College to maximise the learning potential of all students.
- Provide positive and pro-active leadership within the Inclusion team in the development, coordination and operation of the inclusion and support structures within the College (Education Support Staff, Specialist Services Personnel)
- Leadership of the Disability Inclusion Initiative, including:

- establishment of Student Support Groups (SSGs) for all students who may benefit from a Disability Inclusion profile meeting
- overseeing the preparation of the Disability Inclusion Profile
- development of IEPs
- Promote a culture of high expectations and aspirations for the learning of students with disability or additional needs
- Organise Professional Learning to build the capacity of all staff related to inclusive education for all students.
- Embed inclusion and disability expertise in strategic planning and recruitment practices
- Leading the provision of expert advice to enable learners with disabilities to participate in learning experiences including assessment and certification
- Collaborate with Leaders, Faculty Coordinators and staff on the design, implementation and embedding of a differentiated curriculum including modification of assessment tasks and reasonable adjustments
- Collaborate with staff and community to embed the culture of Inclusion within classrooms
- Conduct the National Consistent Disability Data Survey each year
- Identify, develop, implement, access and evaluate Inclusion programs and interventions that are consistent with the College values and DET policies and procedures.
- With the College Leadership Team, recognise, respond and communicate Child Safety policies and procedures.
- Build connections with networks, DET SSS and external support agencies to increase the support and resources available to students and their families.

**Responsibilities**:
**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Take an active role in supporting and managing the performance of staff to improve the quality of teaching and learning, through mentoring, coaching, collegial interaction and critical reflection on practice, feedback and data.
- Work with the members of the Leadership Team to lead the development of a safe and supportive learning environment, which is a pre-condition for high quality teaching and learning.
- Oversee and work with leaders to develop and maintain budgets.
- Complete, evaluate and report on AIP Projects
- Actively support and develop a culture within the College of high expectations and aspirations
- Be an active member of the College Leadership Team.
- Keep Principal Class Officers informed of issues as necessary.
