As the steward of the early childhood development system, the Office will act on government's behalf, and work in collaboration with the sector, to organise and connect the system to reduce developmental vulnerability.

This includes strategy for the provision of quality preschool for all three and four-year-olds, supporting for families in the first 1000 days of a child’s life and implementing a workforce strategy.

**About the Role**:
The Program Lead, Outreach and Pathways will be an important team member working to deliver complex policy analysis, expert advice, high level papers and briefings, and program delivery to support the implementation of the Royal Commission recommendations that are accepted by government.

Reporting to the Director, Participation Integration and Inclusion, the Program Lead, Outreach and Pathways is responsible for providing policy leadership, project management and expertise to support the coordination and delivery of strategic policy priorities and directions, in alignment with existing and emerging agency objectives.

The position provides policy expertise relating to the identification and analysis of complex issues and provides recommendations and reports to influence future policy and process initiatives for the delivery of three-year-old preschool in South Australia. The Principal Program Lead negotiates with and influences diverse stakeholders to reach agreement and achieve policy and program objectives for and on behalf of the OECD, and will support complex and/or sensitive change management processes to guide and support the ongoing achievement of policy objectives.

**Capabilities and experience you will bring**:

- Proven high level analytical and research skills and an ability to undertake objective analysis and evaluate complex information.
- Strong strategic and critical thinking skills to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of complex policies, solutions, plans and strategies that support government objectives.
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and briefings and present concepts, recommendations and complex documents clearly.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
MAS3 $125,970 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
