To support this vision, the Department is searching for a Finance Business Partner to support, analyse and provide financial insights relating to the delivery and continuous improvement of state-wide ICT services for schools, preschools, and corporate sites.

This position facilitates ongoing engagement with multiple stakeholder groups across the Department to determine and deliver high quality customer focussed services in conjunction with commercial acumen and strategic advice to support financially viable decision making.

**Key responsibilities for the role include**:

- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with executive, management and staff across the Division, Agency and state government, including preparing high level briefings, and chairing and providing expert advice to committees and working parties to inform and support the development and delivery of government and education priorities.
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to drive growth and proactively identify areas for improvement for operational efficiencies.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support informed decision-making and optimise financial performance.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and operational data.
- Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to the ICT Services Division, fostering collaborative relationships and providing financial guidance.
- Assist in developing business cases for new initiatives and support cross-functional teams in achieving financial objectives.
- Assess financial risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Key requirements for the role include**:

- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics.
- CA or CPA qualified OR relevant career experience.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated experience leading and overseeing the strategic planning, delivery and evaluation of critical finance, procurement and contract management programs and functions including the management, governance and assurance of large scale contracts.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, to influence, consult and liaise collaboratively with a range of customers and internal and external key stakeholders, and provide sound advice and high-level documents to senior levels, taking into account business, financial and strategic issues.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
MAS3 $125,970 per annum
