We are growing rapidly with significant expansion plans taking place over the next two years - making it a very exciting time for a new Supply Chain Operations Coordinator to join the team and be part of this journey.

We're on a mission to develop a world-class Supply Chain, bringing together a unique team with vast experience to design the best manufacturing processes and an incredible customer experience from how the stock is packaged to how it is delivered to the customer's door.

The Sleeping Duck ethos applies here; quality over quantity. We're innovating, designing and manufacturing bespoke furniture at a high volume, not just sticking a label on someone else's work. Our goal is to continue to take the average sleep product and put the Sleeping Duck spin on it.

**The role**

The Supply Chain Operations Coordinator ensures the accurate and timely administration of the entire supply chain, from purchasing raw materials to receiving completed mattresses into our warehouses nationally. Ultimately you will manage the planning and placement of our purchase orders for all our products.

Your experience working with high-volume international suppliers, specifically in China, will make it easy to develop solid relationships quickly.

**Initially, you can expect to focus your energy on**:

- Learning the business and building your understanding of how we operate
- Engage in supply and demand planning activities
- Oversee and manage the planning and placement of our purchase orders for all finished goods
- Looking after the end-to-end process of International Freight; liaising with suppliers, holding them accountable to timelines, shipping processes and documentation, updating the business on any potential delays or changes that may arise
- Oversee Quality Assurance processes and troubleshooting production issues
- 5 - 10 years experience working in a supply chain environment would be ideal but will consider less experience depending on knowledge gained
- Strong communicator, preferably in English and Mandarin (most of our suppliers are China based)
- Experience with off-shore manufacturing, including managing the end-to-end process of International Freight and QA processes.
- Experience in demand and supply planning
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to extract data, and forward plan procurement activities
- Can juggle multiple priorities at a time without compromising attention to detail
- Deal with ambiguity at a times and switch your focus to new priorities when needed
