**About the Role**
Provide effective leadership and management of the Waste Operations & Resource Recovery Centre teams. To maximise the outcomes of the Waste Operations & Resource Recovery Centre unit to Council, customers and the community.
- Manage and lead waste operations including kerbside collection, resource recovery centre and street cleaning services, to ensure an effective in house service that delivers excellent customer service outcomes.
- Build the department’s culture and performance to ensure high performance, accountability with a customer centric focus. - Maintain a high standard of people management practice including workforce planning, recruitment and induction, performance management, professional development and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement and monitor an integrated annual service plan / departmental work plan aligned to the Council Plan and other relevant corporate objectives
- Oversee the delivery of the waste operations to provide and administers best practice frameworks

**Skills & Experience**
- A tertiary qualification with an organisational strategy, waste management, (or related discipline).
- Several years relevant experience in a leadership role.
- Outstanding people management skills including proven ability to facilitate employee development, model expected behaviours, and align selection with organisational goals and values
