- Improve bushfire risk management within the built environment through the provision of strategic planning, development control, risk mitigation and preparedness strategies; and provide specialist support to a range of stakeholders.**Period of Appointment**:
Starting ASAP until 30 June 2025.

**Duties**:
Improve bushfire risk management within the built environment through the provision of strategic planning, development control, risk mitigation and preparedness strategies; and provide specialist support to a range of stakeholders.

**Essential Requirements**:
**Pre-Employment Checks**
- Arson and fire setting;
- Sexual offences;
- Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
- Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
- Making false declarations;
- Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
- Malicious damage and destruction to property
- Trafficking of narcotic substance;
- False alarm raising.

**Desirable Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline.
- Appropriate qualifications in emergency management and response.
- A current car drivers’ licence.
