The Prospective Student Officer is often the first point of contact for prospective students and plays a critical role in representing RMIT in an appropriate manner and encouraging prospective students to take advantage of what RMIT has to offer.
The role will predominantly focus on Domestic students looking to study at RMIT University, however based on demand may be required to assist in International student enquiries.
Standard shifts will be Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am -5:30pm. Weekend and evening work will sometimes be required.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
- Proven experience in an acquisition/sales/recruitment environment.-
- Call center experience in customer service and/or sales favourable-
- Exhibit high level written and verbal communication skills and comprehension skills, and confidently interact with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds.-
- Demonstrate ability to manage difficult client expectations with successful outcomes.-
- Experience with CRM for capturing lead and case data based on conversation with prospective students.-
- Ability to use multiple systems simultaneously, and work well under pressure whilst meeting KPI’s.-
- Ability to interpret complex information and effectively and efficiently converse with individuals at all levels while dealing with customers from diverse backgrounds.-
- Demonstrate foundational computer literacy skills.About the Group

The GMSR unit includes the following teams; Market Intelligence & Analysis; Market Development & Customer Innovation; Brand, Segments and Campaigns; Marketing Business Partners and Global Student recruitment. The Global Student Recruitment Team leads all sales and direct marketing activities. It also includes international admissions activities, international student services, sponsorship development, and agent management.
