:
- Collect daily, weekly or monthly timesheet
- Develop systems and execute to process end-to-end payroll processing, including but not limited to salaries, benefits, deductions, taxes alongside payslip distribution
- Calculate bonuses and allowances
- Oversee, execute and keep track processing of payroll database updates, including but not limited to employees’ information, onboarding, offboarding, pay raises and system upgrades
- Ensure compliance of wages and tax withholdings with regulations
- Conduct quality control audits to ensure accuracy, such as roster costing audits, punctuality and attendance audits, and headcount audits
- Develop and uphold payroll policies and procedures, and documentation, emphasising best practices, compliance, and continual quality enhancement
- Provide staff training on FairWorks award modifications and new payroll related policies/procedures when required
- Collaborate with other Department including but not limited to Human Resources (HR) and Finance teams
- Resolving payroll enquiries in a professional manner
- Filing and archiving of accurate payroll records
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports
**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Payroll
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Economics, Certificate III in Business or Certificate III in Financial Services
- Understanding of payroll compliance
- Comprehensive knowledge of Modern Awards and other state and industry legislation
- Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislation
- Team Management experience
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Honesty, integrity and discretion
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of the broader team
- Ability to identify and solve issues
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport
- Advanced computer software skills, Word and Excel and other accounting/payroll packages
