The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child aims to support young children growing up healthy, educated and connected in a rapidly changing digital environment. Its program of research brings together national and international experts and partners to investigate children’s digital experiences, including a world-first study of 3000 Australian families and children from birth to eight years of age. Curtin is one of three Universities participating in the program that welcomes a Children’s Technology Play Space to evaluate the impact of digital technology on their learning abilities and ensure a safe and productive approach among young children.

As a Research Officer, you will work closely with Curtin University Node’s representative and you will be primarily responsible for providing high quality professional research support to the Centre to ensure efficient and effective running of project, related procedures, and the delivery of prompt quality service to all who interact with Curtin University Node.

**In your new role, you will**
- Contribute to the effective day-to-day operation of Curtin University Node including managing teams, schedules, communications, spaces, projects.
- Be the first point of contact for leading, managing, and triaging communications with the QUT Hub, Centre teams, investigators, partners, and media.
- Make contributions to the operation of the Children’s Technology Play Space on campus.
- Collect data, prepare, and produce reports, on a range of matters that contribute to the effective financial management of the Node.
- Provide administrative support to our Curtin University Node’s representative and researchers.
- Liaise efficiently with the Research Office Centre, external collaborators, partners, children and families, educators, policy makers and other key stakeholders.

**We are looking for someone with**
- Relevant qualification aligned with a demonstrated research project management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and proactively with a wide a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to keep a complex program of research activity on track and on time, through effective and supportive management of individuals and activities and individual contributions, including managing individuals, schedules, teams, communications, spaces, reporting and records.
- Proficiency in using MS pack office and ability to work with diverse digital technologies.
